AOPK is an organizational unit of the Czech Republic providing professional and practical care for nature, especially Protected Landscape Areas, Small Protected Areas and Bird Areas.

CHKO Beskydy was declared on March 5, 1973, by the government decree of the Ministry of Culture of the Czechoslovak Republic File no. 5373/1973. It is the largest protected landscape area of ​​the Czech Republic.
